Hildoceras ammonite with free stand

Absolutely gorgeous big chunky hildoceras ammonite.

Found at Saltwick bay, near to Whitby.

This Yorkshire "hildi" is a whopping 13.5 cm  in diameter, and bigger for display with the extra limestone matrix around it.

An incredible example , perfect all the way to the centre.

They really don't come much better than this.
